United States withdraws from the United Nations Human Rights Commission because of its anti-Israel bias

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley deliver a joint statement focused on the United Nations Human Rights Council in Washington DC on Tuesday, June 19, 2018.

Haley announced that the Trump administration will withdraw from the UN Human Rights Council as a result of the world's worst human rights abusers being elected to membership in the UNHRC and its “chronic anti-Israel bias.”
