Dear Friends and Associates,
After more than fifteen years of dedicated work defending Israel’s Legal Rights, effective today, June 30th, 2024, I am retiring from Canadians for Israel’s Legal Rights - CILR and TBF.
My retirement is not to be construed as ‘jumping ship’ due to the difficulty of our times. My devotion and patriotism to Israel will not be silenced. This only signals a new phase in my life, opening opportunities to pursue my interests on a more personal and more relaxed basis.
As I step back into retirement, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who assisted in our uphill battle to bring awareness to the world about the Legal Rights of the Jewish people to the land of Israel - under International Law.
And a special thanks to our Israeli partners, IM TIRTZU, for their remarkable commitment to move forward our common goals. Thank you, Matan Peleg, Doug Altabef, Eitan Meir, Shai Rosengarten, and the rest of the team.
Starting July 1st, 2024, the reins and leadership of CILR and TBF will be assumed by Irving Weisdorf, whose co-chairmanship and collaboration throughout the years has been an indispensable part of CILR’s activities. I will always cherish the comradeship created as we worked together.
I wish Irving Hatzlacha in reaching his lifelong dream of Israel’s Rights to exist with worldwide respect and the independence and peace it deserves; Hatzlacha in the ongoing challenge of defeating Israel's enemies and debunking the lies they promulgate about her!
HOW I BECAME A ZIONIST:
At the age of five, my mother, myself and my three siblings were herded into a cattle car - like cattle - destination Auschwitz.
At the age of nine, I stood on the stage of a school play, holding in my hand an envelope, announcing:
“Israel’s Postal Service Has Begun”
Inside the envelope was
The Declaration of The Birth of Israel
THAT DAY MY PASSION FOR ISRAEL WAS BORN
AND STILL BURNS AS BRIGHT AS EVER
AND I SOLEMNLY DECLARE:
MY LOVE FOR ISRAEL WILL NEVER DIE
